In collaboration with Deboer Design, the mosaic references the scientific fields of microbiology, biology and topography. It abstractly references Scotch College's grounds and buildings, as well as Gardiner's Creek and surrounds. It also references a petri dish with microbiological cell structures. The resin grout also glows in the dark.
