How we work

A mosaic commission is a collaboration. We bring design, materials knowledge and atelier craft. You bring the place, the story and the ambition. Here’s how a typical project unfolds.

1. Brief

We listen. Site, use, timeline, budget range, references and constraints. Site visit where needed. You’ll leave this stage with a clear scope and next steps.

2. Design

Concept drawings and material direction. We refine scale, colour, pattern and detail until the design fits the architecture and the brief, not the other way around.

3. Materials

Marble, stone, glass smalti, porcelain and specialty materials chosen for durability, light and feel. Samples and mock-ups where the project needs them.

4. Making

Hand-cut and set in the Moorabbin or Italian atelier by qualified mosaic artisans. Progress updates keep you close to the work without slowing production.

5. Install

Professional installation by our Melbourne team, including floors, walls, outdoor works and complex site conditions. We leave the finished mosaic clean, sealed where required, and ready for life.

6. Care

Simple maintenance guidance so the work ages well. Restoration and heritage repair are also part of what we do when older mosaics need a second life.
