Maribyrnong Council - Foyer restoration

Mosaic Republic was tasked with repairing a heritage mosaic located in the entry foyer of the original Maribyrnong Council building, in collaboration with Heritage Alliance architects. Area of loose tiles were removed, recovered and re-installed. Also, a previously installed revolving door caused major structural damage to the sub floor and drumming to many areas of the tiles. The entire mosaic was cleaned and re grouteds, leaving as much of the original as possible untouched.
