The mosaic entrance to Casa Elda Vaccari was made to honor Elda Vaccari's life devoted to philanthropy; helping families and especially children.
The Gualtiero Vaccari Foundation restored the 1915 power substation and was used from 1991 to 2014 to care for aged Italians and now serves the needs for families of seriously ill children; Casa Elda Vaccari has been donated to the Ronald MaDonald House until 2043.
